Since our founding in 2016, the Center for Action Research and Training (CART) has been dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence in research and development. As an accredited Liberian-owned and operated research institute, CART is driven by a passion for empowering communities through evidence-based insights and impactful research initiatives.
CART was established by a team of trained professional Liberian social science researchers with the goal of facilitating Liberian-designed research. We also undertake commissioned studies for foreign principal investigators and institutions. Our work spans across various domains, including agriculture, education, peace and recovery, social protection, climate resilience, gender equality, and intimate partner violence.
To enhance the participation of Liberians in social research and other evidence-gathering initiatives that will influence national and local development policies and programs in Liberia.
